I’m Mel Dawkins – your Labour candidate for Faversham and Mid Kent. Local, with experience of working in the community as a teacher and a track record of representing the community in local government, I want to stand up for Faversham and Mid Kent. We need greater control over how our services work locally, and Westminster to give us the money and power we need to make positive change for everyone locally. I got involved in politics because I was tired of having to fight for my family to get the support and care they needed and deserved. My hearing impairment reminds me everyday to listen – it’s the most crucial skill of a politician and I am here to listen to you in the community and represent your needs.
